School Board President Dies in Crash

Towanda, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A school board president is dead after a car crashes into a house.

Pete Alesky Jr., 67, of Monroeton, PA, was driving his truck on route 2027 around 12:45 Tuesday afternoon.

That's when he lost control of his vehicle.

He drove off of the road and crashed into a garage of a house.

Alesky was the Towanda Area School Board President since December of 2011. He was first elected to the board in 2007.

Alesky was taken to Memorial hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No one in the home was injured.
