(WBNG Binghamton) A Port Crane man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in June has been indicted on additional charges.

Officials said Michael Degnan, 39, spent nearly a week on the run after raping the teen before being taken into custody on June 20.

A Broome County grand jury Tuesday handed up an indictment on new charges, including one count of first-degree rape, one count of second-degree rape, two counts of criminal sex acts in the first degree and two in the second degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

It's not known if those charges are related to the same victim.

He was also indicted on second-degree burglary, criminal trespass, two counts of second-degree grand larceny and petit larceny, after breaking into a home in the town of Fenton and stealing a truck for his getaway back in June.

Degnan remains in the Broome County Jail.
