Alleged gang member arrested during raid

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An alleged gang member was arrested following a raid in Binghamton after a spate of recent violence and shootings.

Police and members of the Broome County task force Tuesday morning stormed the first floor of 25 Berlin Street.

There they arrested Gabriel Gonzalez, 18.

Officials say he tried to flee out the back door, but more officers were positioned there.

He is accused of possessing a loaded stolen .32 caliber revolver handgun and a sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun.

Gonzalez is a self admitted member of the Latin Kings gang.

He is charged with multiple felonies, including criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.

He was taken to the Binghamton Police Department pending arraignment.
