Animals killed in barn fire

Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A barn was severely damaged and dozens of animals were killed during a fire over the weekend.

The call went out around 1 p.m. Sunday for a property along Hardie Road in Conklin.

Ten beef cattle were killed, along with as many as 40 chickens and 50 chicks.

Conklin firefighters were assisted by Five Mile Point, Kirkwood and Town of Binghamton.

The fire remains under investigation.
