Chenango Bridge, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Authorities were called at approximately 9:45 p.m. to the Xtra Mart in Chenango Bridge after it was robbed at knife point.

It's at least the third such robbery in the past two weeks, although it wasn't known late Monday whether the incidents are connected.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office says the robber entered the store at 1757 Route 12 and flashed a knife.

He then fled on foot. He's described as a white male with blonde hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall. No other description was provided.

Authorities were using K-9s to search the woods nearby late Monday.

Two convenience stores in Johnson City were robbed at knife-point Dec. 5. Police there believe it was the same man that hit Bobbi's Mini Mart on Harry L. Drive and King's Deli, 274 Floral Ave. within a half hour.

A week later, a man robbed a convenience store in the town of Fenton. The sheriff's office said at the time that robbery was believed to be associated with other robberies in Binghamton and Fenton.
