United Water received official notification from the Tioga County Health Department that enables the boil water order to be lifted for all United water customers in Tioga County.
Customers were ordered to boil water as a precautionary measure while United Water emergency crews restored water service and water quality tests were performed. Lab results indicate that the water remained safe at all times while the order was in effect.
Customers in the Village of Windsor's water system were notified on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 1:30 PM that the Boil Water Order is no longer in effect.
The criteria for lifting the Boil Water Order has been met and consumers of this water system can resume using the water for all purposes.

What is being done?
The town is working to fix any leaks identified with the water system and restoring its wastewater removal process as quickly as possible. You will be informed when tests confirm that no harmful bacteria are in the system and you no longer need to boil your water. It is anticipated that the problem will be resolved within 5 days.

Endicott (West Corners)
There is a boil water advisory for the West Corners area. On Wednesday afternoon, a water main line broke around the 1000 block of Day Hollow, causing some residents to lose water pressure.
Advisory affects Betty St., Flora St., Rodman Rd., and all points west of 917 Day Hollow Road until further notice.

The Broome County Executive signed a new water conservation order signed on Monday. The City of Binghamton, the Town of Vestal, the Town of Dickinson, the Town of Fenton, the Town of Kirkwood, the Town of Conklin, Town of Union including the villages of Endicott and Johnson City.
Temporary discontinue/limit use of sanitary sewer system in Port Dickinson, Town of Dickinson (along Old State Road, and Town of Fenton's (Hillcrest) Sanitary Sewer District.
