Around the Tiers: Oral Cancer Awareness Walk

Binghamton, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) Oral cancer is on the rise across the country. An upcoming event aims to raise awareness.

Daniele Klepfer was in the WBNG studio to promote the Oral Cancer Awareness Walk.

The event kicks off this Sunday at Otsiningo Park. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m., with a start time of 10 a.m.

The registration fee for walkers and runners is $25 to preregister and $30 on the day of the event.

Oral cancer survivors are free.

Children five and under are also free. The fee is $10 for children ages six to 10.

Online registration closes at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 25.

After Friday, participants must register in person the morning of the walk with cash, check or money order made payable to The Oral Cancer Foundation.
