Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New place to run, new place to tackle and a new place to swim.

That's all in store for Maine Endwell student-athletes this year.

A part of Maine Endwell District's $60 million capital project was used for its sports facilities.

The community was invited to tour of the finished products Saturday.

There's a brand new 8 lane pool with 2 diving boards also new locker rooms for the girls and boys.

The M-E football team played its first game no the new multi-sport turf field.

The school is also building a fitness facility with cardio equipment for the community.

"What a better way to teach our kids to be leaders by getting them certified to be lifeguards. They can work within our facilities. They can open up the facilities for the community and get minimum wage at the same time. It's a win win situation," said Dave Cook, Athletic Director.

The track surrounding the turf feel was also reconstructed.

The district will also soon get new tennis courts.
