Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome Community College students are placing presents under the trees of those less fortunate this Christmas.

It's the 15th annual BCC Giving of the Toys. Club, organizations, students, and members of the community gathered at the Baldwin Gym to donate toys.

More than 50 groups on campus gave to the cause; some even got a chance to get an up close visit with Santa Claus.

Many students brought interest-specific gifts. The soccer team brought soccer balls, and the baseball team brought bats and balls to contribute to the cause.

"Everyone brings toys in and they give it to student assembly members and we put it on the stage," said Student Assembly President Elaine Papastrat.

Student Assembly members loaded up the truck for the Toys for Tots of Broome County to distribute to those in need this Christmas.
