Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Thanksgiving tradition continues into its 18th year Binghamton High School.

Students prepare to serve the turkey dinner with all the trimmings.

It's open to anyone who wants to share in a community meal and its free.

Today students took time out of their normal schedule to get everything ready.

But there is a lot more that goes into the planning.

Esteban Doyle, the president of the Binghamton High School National Honor Society said, "We do a lot of fund raising, that is sorta the national honor society's job, to make sure there is enough funding for it. And then and then today we take care of all the tables, put out all of the table cloths, all the salt and pepper, put up all the decorations as you can see."

Dinner will be served Thanksgiving day from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

This year there will be a shuttle bus provided to take those with transportation concerns to and from the dinner.

The shuttle service runs from 11:30 a.m to 2 p.m. and will go back and forth from Binghamton High School to Franklin Elementary, North Shore Towers, Greater Binghamton Transportation Center, and First ward Senior Citizens Center.
