BU breaks international levels

(WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University is all about growth. Its faculty and staff work throughout the year to develop ways to bring more students to the university.

According to a 2014 study done by the Council of Graduate Schools, BU is more than 20-percent above the national average for international students attending the university.

BU has also beat the national average in areas of life science, arts, social science and psychology, and education.

It's the second year in a row BU has held the top spot. International graduate applications received by BU has grown by 26-percent over the last year. The national average only grew 7-percent.

"I like Binghamton very much. I like the university, I like the community. I really enjoy staying here. This place has become my new home. I like my academic program. All of the professors are really good professionals," Nikolay Merkulov said.

Graduate students add that professors are always available for questions.
