Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome County has been operating on the same overall plan since the early 1960s.
But that soon could change.
The Broome County Environmental Council is heading the effort to update the county's comprehensive plan.
Their goal is to collect enough data from local residents to put together a plan for cities and towns to act upon to create a healthier community.
The group is now looking for feedback and ideas from residents.
They're evaluating strengths and weaknesses as perceived by the public.
The plan won't be ready until sometime late next year.
