Vestal,NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton University has a fresh new look at its entrance with two new signs.

The university is replacing its old sign that blew away during a storm in 2011.

The two new signs stand taller than the ones before them and illuminate at night.

The newly enhanced entrance cost nearly $200,000.

President Harvey Stenger says the cost doesn't compare to the impact on the university.

"You want them to drive through here going this is the place that I want to go to, but the investment of the dollars we put into this are just the small fraction of the importance that we place upon the beauty of the campus," says Stenger.

Stenger stresses this adds beauty to the community and brings pride to the campus students and staff.
