Binghamton detectives confirm details on a bank robbery on the city's East Side.

They say a man walked into the BCT Federal Credit Union on Broad Avenue and handed the teller a threatening note demanding money.

It happened at about 3:50 pm Friday.

Police are looking for a black or Hispanic male between 5'6" and 5'10".

They say he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a black and white striped scarf with a distorted smiley face on it.

He may have headed east on Robinson Street.
