Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Green caps and gowns filled the Binghamton Events Center Saturday as thousands of students collected their college diplomas.

Binghamton University held their second day of commencement ceremonies on Saturday.

The ceremonies were divided into four groups. The College of Community and Public Affairs and The Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science held its ceremonies.

The Harpur College of Arts and Sciences was divided into two ceremonies.

Students say out of the many things they will miss during their college years, friendships and the Binghamton community rank among the top.

"Just making really great friends," said Samantha DeStefano. "Having a fun time and learning a lot in my classes and stuff. But mainly making great friends that I'll be with for the rest of my life, hopefully."

Their big day was filled with excitement for what's to come in the future.

"It's been four years coming and it's exciting to get here finally, but I'm definitely going to miss this school," said Tina Philip. "And I'll miss the town and all my friends, everyone I met here. It's a lot of emotions right now."
