Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The St. Patrick's Parade may be over, but that doesn't mean the celebrating has stopped.

The Binghamton Police Emerald society held its 20th annual post parade party at the Holiday Inn in downtown Binghamton Saturday.

The festivities started around 3:30 and lasted until 7:30 p.m.

Organizers say it's a great opportunity to relax and have a good time.

"We all work very hard all year long," Emerald Society Board Member Jessica Griffin said. "We just need to relax and be with our friends and family."

But it's not just all about having fun.

The money raised from admissions and merchandise sales will go toward local charities, as well as a department scholarship fund.
