Binghamton Police Officer Resigns After DWI Arrest

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton Police Officer resigns after being arrested for DWI.

33-year-old Christopher Stoeckel submitted his resignation Friday morning.

Stoeckel was arrested by the Binghamton Police Department after going into work on October 16 and was suspended without pay.

His arraignment date in City Court has not been set.

Stocekel had been an officer with the police department for four years.
