Binghamton man accused of rape fights police

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man accused of raping a teenager fought officers during his arrest.

Johnson City police arrested Lamont Williams, 40, of Griswold Street.

They say he raped at 14-year-old girl over a period of several months.

Thursday, officials found Williams hiding in a Grand Avenue apartment.

Williams fought with police as they tried to arrest him.

He is being held in Johnson City lockup pending arraignment.

Williams is charged with rape in the second degree, a felony and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor
