Binghamton man sentenced to 15 years in prison for a bar stabbing

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man convicted of attempted murder will spend 15 years in state prison.

Joshua Vaughn, 21, of Binghamton was sentenced in Broome County Court Tuesday for his attempted murder in the second degree and assault in the first degree conviction.

Vaughn will spend 15 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for stabbing a bouncer in the abdomen in Jan. 2012.

The stabbing happened at the Voodoo Lounge Bar on Charlotte Street in Binghamton during a dispute over the cover charge for the bar.
