Binghamton mayor appoints executive assistant
Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Mayor Rich David announced another appointment to his administration Tuesday. Effective March 3, Jared Kraham will officially begin as David's executive assistant. Kraham graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 2009. He studied political science and journalism at Syracuse University, where he graduated in 2013. “Jared’s communications expertise will assist in my goal to provide a more transparent and accessible city government for all residents and improve constituent services,” said David, R-Binghamton. According to David, the executive assistant supports the mayor on all day-to-day matters relating to the city. The position will require Kraham to meet with department heads, employees and City Council on a daily basis in regards to projects and operations. “Jared has a true passion for Binghamton and public service and I feel that will make him an asset at City Hall,” David added. The position pays $48,000 annually. According to David, Kraham will move to Binghamton from Hillcrest. Jared Kraham is the son former Broome County Executive Jeffrey Kraham who served in the office from 1997 - 2004.
