Binghamton police searching for armed robber

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton police are looking for a man they said robbed a convenience store.

Police were called at approximately 9:50 p.m. Tuesday to the Alaska Mart at 254 Chenango St. for an armed robbery.

The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the man as black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a medium build and between 25 and 30 years old.

They said he wore a black scarf.
