Bishop shares Mass with St. James students

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Bishop Cunningham said mass for Elementary School students at St. James Tuesday morning.

Students sang songs and delivered readings to Bishop Cunningham and their parents Tuesday morning.

Bishop Cunningham made the trip to St. James in honor of Catholic Schools week coming at the end of the month.

Student practiced for weeks in anticipation of the Bishop's arrival.

"They picked songs that they thought he would like but ones they could practice and learn. They wanted to make sure they were at their best when performing for him," said President of Broome County Catholic schools, Richard Bucci.

Catholic schools week is celebrated the last week of this month to honor the impact Catholic schools have on the community.
