Investigators are releasing the autopsy results of as man killed in a boating accident over the weekend.
44-year-old Don Roberts of Burdett was pulled from the lake in Yates County Sunday afternoon.
An autopsy report released today is ruling his death an accidental drowning and determines the left side of his torso was crushed and multiple vital organs were damaged.
Roberts was the owner of Glen Harbor Marina in Watkins Glen.
He was in the boat with his head mechanic who told investigators they were testing the boat.
They were going about 70 to 80 miles per hour, when the steering started to shake.
Witnesses say it flipped up, then ejected the men into the water.
Carson was rescued shortly after.
He was taken to Robert Packer Hospital with a fractured sternum.
Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene.
