Reading, PA (WBNG Binghamton) The Pennsylvania Retailers' Association inducted its first member into the Hall of Fame, Albert Boscov.

The PRA hosted a gala dinner and awards ceremony on March 7 to honor Boscov. Govs. Tom Corbett, Ed Rendell and Tom Ridge were the honorary co-chairmen of the event.

Ten percent of all proceeds from the event are going to Boscov's favorite charity "Our Reading City." The remaining proceeds will be used to serve and promote the retail industry in the Keystone State.

Other awards included Retailer of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Best Customer Service, Best Visual Merchandise, Most Community Service and Best Loss Prevention Partner.
