Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After Maine-Endwell basically cut the bowling team from the school's budget, a few parents got together to see how they could keep the team together.

One of the those ways is through fundraising - that's what they did at Laurel Bowl Sunday afternoon.

For $10, you could get a game of bowling and a pasta dinner.

"We came up with the idea for the fundraiser to get the kids involved, the parents involved, and the community involved in helping support our cause," said Ann DiTommaso, the mother of a M-E bowler.

There are about 25 players between the boys and girls teams.

They have to raise about $2,000 to keep themselves going.

The money collected will go toward busing to and from their matches.
