Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Members of the Boys and Girls Club will now be shuttled around in style thanks to tens of thousands of dollars in grant money.

Monday, the club showed off its new 15-person van.

The van allows the club to save money and be less dependent on external bus services.

Thanks to more transportation, children in the organization will also benefit.

"We take them on field trips to the zoo, swimming during the summer. It was just getting a little too expensive for us to have to hire a bus," said Marybeth Smith, the club's executive director.

The van will also make trips to college tours, job shadowing and sports tournaments

Donations from United Way of Broome County, Community Foundation for South Central New York and Binghamton University's incubator program totaled about $30,000.
