Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A murder suspect set to be tried in June in Broome County decides to take a plea deal instead.

Ashley Carnevale, 23, and her husband Anthony Carnevale were both involved in a home invasion and shooting that took place at a house in Windsor in 2009.

Jean Clark died and another man was seriously wounded in the incident.

Ashley Carnevale won an appeal and new trial based on problems with the police interrogation and ineffective counsel.

On Tuesday she pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault.

She will be sentenced in June to 15 years in prison.

Her previous murder sentence ran 15 years to life.

Anthony Carnevale pleaded guilty and is serving 25 years to life for murder.
