(WBNG Binghamton) For the first time this season, the sound of spinning carousels is back.

Some of Broome County's biggest attractions, historic carousels, have reopened.

The unique activity draws thousands to local parks every summer, and it was a busy weekend at C. Fred Johnson Park in Johnson City.

"It brings people together," rider Ashleigh Miller said. "They can have fun and they come from all around."

The carousel at C.F.J. was installed in 1923; it's the biggest of the six carousels in the area.
