(WBNG Binghamton) For most people winter storms tend to make everyday tasks more stressful, but there are a few people who make their money when the snow starts falling.

"I enjoy it, I get out in the fresh air and it's exercise," said AJ Davis of Davis Outdoor Jobs, "It keeps me in shape during the winter."

Davis Outdoor Jobs focuses on summer landscaping, but when the snow starts falling Davis is trying to keep those same customers safe and happy.

"I've been doing this since I was a kid," Davis said, "So it's just a way to give back, especially older people who can't do it themselves. We really try and get out there so they don't get injured or slip and fall."

While the snow and cold keeps most people inside, it's a chance for others to cash in.

"It sure is a payout," said Brett White of White's Lawn care, Landscaping and Snow Removal, "It works good, we do a lot of places, a lot of salting and stuff when it's cold like this."

It costs homeowners between $25 - $40 to get a clear driveway and path to the door. But the longer it snows, the more it can add up.

"These kinds of snowstorms are nice because you get to go do the places a couple of times," White said, "You know two or three times,"

Most workers have other jobs or businesses and make room for some extra money during big snowstorms. That includes plowing driveways, shoveling sidewalks, and salting everything in between.

"We still got a ways to go, probably like six to eight hours," White said, "A lot of place we're going to have to double-hit them."

Those who work out in the cold weather conditions offer a few tips to people out shoveling, they said to drink lots of water if you go outside to do any type of work. In the cold weather a lot of people forget to stay hydrated.

Also if people are out shoveling, the proper way is it to keep your back straight and lift with your knees.
