Canton Borough (WBNG Binghamton) Pennsylvania State Police have filed charges against a woman they say provided the gun used by Curtis Chisman to kill the mother of his child, Teesha Rieco, before turning the gun on himself.

On May 5, police responded to a home on Main Street in Canton where they found Rieco shot dead in her bed and Chisman with a gunshot wound to the head.

He died of his injuries after being airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital.

The gun used in the incident, a Taurus 9mm, was purchased in 2011 by Kimberly Jean Chisman, 46, of Canton. Police said she was Curtis Chisman's wife. Curtis Chisman was not allowed to posses a gun due to a prior criminal conviction.

The child Curtis Chisman shared with Rieco was just one month old when the shooting took place.

Kimberly Chisman is charged with felony sale and transfer of firearms in the third degree and misdemeanor unsworn falsification to authorities in the third degree.

She was released on $45,000 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for May 29.
