Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) One local school district is considered a model across the state when it comes to technology.

The Chenango Forks School District has been chosen as a mentor as part of the S3tair Grant.

The goal of the grant is to foster collaborative teaching among schools.

Members of the Buffalo Public School District on Thursday visited Chenango Forks as middle school students worked on iPads. The out-of-town teachers were able to watch the lessons, hoping to take back information to their own students.

"You walk out and you're re-energized and you can bring it back to your building and carry it with you," said Buffalo teacher, Kira Mioducky.

Both schools agree with budget cuts throughout the state, it's important to find creative ways to work with other teachers and schools to provide a positive learning environment for students.
