Unadilla, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Four children got exactly what they asked for this Christmas, their dad.

Savannah, Kiernan, Irelee and Joshua Olson got their Christmas miracle when their dad came home for Christmas, but the kids didn't tell Santa what they wanted - they told Frosty.

Richard Olson, a Navy Seaman on the U-S-S Dwight D Eisenhower, showed up at Ballston Spa Elementary School in disguise as Frosty and asked two of his kids what they wanted for Christmas. Their response, their dad home. That's when Olson took off his costume and revealed himself.

Olson also surprised his youngest daughter, Irelee, while she was in class. He said he has not spent one minute apart from her.

And though it was hard to be so close to his kids but not be able to see them to keep the surprise, Olson said it was worth it.

He said, "I know the kids will remember, especially Josh and Kiernan with the frosty outfit. Irelee was constantly talking to me, giggling, and hugging me and smiling. It was really nice, I liked it a lot."

Olson is home for now, heading back to his base on January 3rd. He will be deployed in March.
