Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's being called the "Happiest 5K on the Planet" and it was in the Southern Tier for the first time.

The Color Run, a 5k fun run/walk, was at SUNY-Broome Sunday morning.

This race is different than most. The focus is less on your time and more on having the time of your life.

"I do the active armor runs, like every time I'm running I have the ballistic vest on, so I added this run based on running in memory of Officer Smith," said Ellen O'Pray of Ithaca. O'Pray is a member of Cornell Police.

Runners wore all white and throughout the race, colored powder was thrown of them on the course.

Sunday's run was sold out with about 5,500 runners on the course.

After the race, there was a concert where runners threw the colored powder in the air.

Last year, there were 170 Color Runs in more than 30 countries.
