Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) After months of hard work, nearly 300 students will compete in the Science Olympiad Competition at Broome Community College.
The competition is comprised of 15 teams around our area.
The event is taking place at Broome Community College all day on Saturday.
Each team will compete in a series of different contests, all designed to test their skills in chemistry, biology, structural engineering, astrophysics, and mathematics.
There will be a total of 22 different contests spread across the BCC campus.
The winning teams selected at the event will move on to the state competition at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY on March 30th.
This year's national competition will be held at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL, on May 18th.
