Man Assaults Woman in Cooperstown

Cooperstown, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Cooperstown police are on the lookout for a man who assaulted a Bassett Medical Center employee.

It happened Wednesday morning at about 5 a.m. at Beaver and Fair Street in Cooperstown.

The employee was asked for her wallet by a white male about five-and-a half feet tall and 160 pounds.

After not getting the wallet, the man hit the woman with a sharp object and took off towards Susquehanna Avenue.

The suspect was wearing sweatshirt and dirty blue jeans.

Police say his teeth are in very poor condition.
