Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Memorial Day weekend has a few guarantees. Summer is near, and Cornell Senior Convocation is here.

Saturday was the 20th annual Senior Convocation at Cornell University.

With graduation Sunday, the event gave seniors one last chance to reflect on their accomplishments during the past four years with family and friends.

Convocation speaker, Mayor Cory Booker (D- Newark), had a clear message to the soon-to-be graduates in the audience: Never undermine your determination in life.

"Always realize you have the ability to overcome things," Booker said. "I always tell people to never let their inability to do everything, undermine their determination to do something."

Commencement will start at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 26, at Schoellkopf Stadium.
