Cortland Meth Lab Bust

(WBNG Binghamton) The Cortland Police Department arrests two people running a Meth lab out of their apartment.

Police responded to area of 76 1/2 Lincoln Avenue on Friday, July 13, for reports of a strong chemical odor.

After arriving on the scene police found ingredients used to manufacture Methamphetamine on a common porch area.

The Cortland Fire Department and New York State Police Hazmat Team were called to the scene to assist.

On July 20, investigators returned to 76 1/2 Lincoln Avenue for interview suspects. While there, police uncovered more evidence.

John Rosen, 43, and Renee Perfetti, 44, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of Marijuana,criminal possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful manufacturing of Methamphetamine.

The manufacturing charge is a class D felony.
