Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Legislature's Democratic Leader, Daniel D. Reynolds, announced he will be running for family court judge Wednesday evening.

Reynolds has been a practicing attorney in Binghamton for more than two decades, and is a partner at Shaw, O'Brien, Crowley and Reynolds.

"I've got a lot of family court experience, I've been in trials in family court for well over 20 years," said Reynolds. "I've represented families at their worst times, very tough situations, and I've represented children as well on the Law-Guardian panel as an attorney for the children."

Reynolds said he plans on finishing out his term as county legislator for District 4.

Currently, Peter P. Charnetsky, Spero Pines and Rita Connerton all serve as family court judges.

After this race, there will be four family court judges, as part of a 25-seat expansion across the state.
