Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Made-to-order pasta was set up at the LG&T Tennis Challenger Thursday evening to bring big flavor to guests and raise money for a local organization.

The court-side Pastabilities event has been a mainstay for 19 years now, bringing more than 200 people to Rec Park for Thursday's charity dinner.

"We sell out every year," said Pastabilities Committee Chairwoman Sarah El-Begearmi of the dinner tickets.

Celebrity chefs, including WBNG's Brandi Bailey, sizzled up tortellini and penne with everything from crab to shrimp and vegetables.

"Local restaurants donate their pasta and all kinds of sauces," said El-Begearmi.

Whole in the Wall and Little Venice were two such businesses that added their signature tastes to the skillets.

In addition to the pasta was live music, an auction and a 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds from the event go to the Discovery Center to fund exhibits and after school activities. Organizers said Pastabilities was expected to raise an estimated $10,000 this year.

"It helps us keep our costs low so that anybody can afford to come to the Discovery Center," said El-Begearmi.
