Cousins charged with town of Union robberies

(WBNG Binghamton) Two cousins were arrested after police said they robbed a convenience store in Endicott. Police said the two tried to rob a gas station in Endwell just minutes before.

On Friday, Endicott Police arrested Antoine Legree, 33, and his cousin Omar Legree, 26, both of Riverview Drive in Endicott.

According to police, each man is charged with one count robbery in the first degree, a class B felony and conspiracy in the fourth degree, a class D felony.

Antoine Legree is accused of entering the Stop and Shop on 109 Washington Ave. at 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20.

Police said while wearing a ski mask, he threatened the store clerk with a knife, then stole the cash drawer and money inside.

Omar Legree is accused of acting as a lookout for Antoine and driving him to and from the Stop and Shop.

Both men are also facing attempted robbery charges at the Valero, located at 3225 East Main St. in Endwell.

New York State Police said the two tried to rob the store just minutes before the Endicott robbery.

Both Antoine and Omar Legree are in the Endicott lock-up waiting to be arraigned.
