Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Republican mayoral candidate Rich David said he feels confident he and his team will be celebrating a win Tuesday night.

The Binghamton candidate stepped into the senior living center at 45 Exchange St. just after 10 a.m.

David said he got an early start because he will be working the rest of the day, encouraging people to vote.

After he cast his ballot, the candidate said he's confident he will be celebrating tonight.

"I feel very good actually because I know that I've put a lot of work in, in regard to this campaign," David said. "I know I've had many, many dedicated volunteers. I've also done everything from collecting signatures to making phone calls. This has really been a team effort."

David added he believes he will be elected because the issues he's been advocating to change are bi-partisan.
