Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Rich David was the final Republican mayoral candidate to cast his vote just after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The Republican shook hands with voters and workers at the Community Center on Exchange Street.

David said he voted for himself and described the last three months as long, rewarding and exciting.

He added that though the ballot had been cast, his work continues.

"Phone calls are being made. That's what I'm pretty much going to be doing all day. I'm still going to continue to knock on doors tonight when people get home from work," said David.

David added that crime, jobs and taxes are the local issues his hears most about while contacting voters.
