Deputies: Woman neglected her two dogs

Richford, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Deputies arrested a Tioga County woman for animal cruelty.

Carol Salzatti, 79, of Richford, faces two counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals.

According to the Tioga County Sheriff's office, Salzatti's two dogs were found with no water or food and were caged in unsanitary conditions.

The dogs reportedly had sores on there stomachs and their spines were protruding because they were malnourished.

They were also losing their fur.

Deputies said this is the second time animals were removed from Salzatti's care.

She was issued a ticket to appear in the Town of Richford court on May 5.
