Newfield, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two people are dead and one person is in critical condition after a Wednesday car crash.
New York State Police in Ithaca responded to a two car fatal crash on State Route 13 in the Town of Newfield around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday.
The investigation revealed Pamela Klemme, 56, of Syracuse, was traveling south on State Route 13 when she drove into the northbound lane and struck another vehicle driven by Seymour Smidt, 83, of Ithaca who was later listed in critical condition.
Klemme and Smidt's passenger Ruth Schwartz, 87, of Ithaca were pronounced dead at Cayuga Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
