Driver with BAC more than twice the legal limit

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome County Sheriff's Office stopped a driver who showed signs of intoxication.

Early Wednesday morning, Brandon Cole, 22, of Sidney was driving west on Bevier Street at a high rate of speed.

According to Broome County, Cole ran through a red light and was violating several other traffic laws.

When Cole was pulled over, he struck a guide rail in the parking lot of the Expressmart on Old Front Street.

Cole admitted to drinking alcohol earlier in the night, and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was arrested with a BAC measuring to be 0.19%, more than twice the legal limit.

Cole was issued tickets and is set to appear in the town of Dickinson court at a later date.

-Aggravated DWI with BAC .18% or greater
-Unreasonable and imprudent speed
-Failure to maintain lane
-Failure to stop for a steady red signal
-Possession of open container of alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle with intent to consume
