Drug Arrest in Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A search of a Binghamton home leads to two drug arrests Monday afternoon.

Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force Investigators executed a search warrant at 78 Pennsylvania Ave., where they uncovered 85 bags of heroin, along with a loaded .22 caliber handgun, a small amount of marijuana, a digital scale and $240 cash.

This was all in the presence of a 2-year-old inside the home at that time.

Christopher J. McKnight, 23, who lives at the residence, Charles J. Lewis, 25, of Johnson City, were arrested

They were both charged with possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana.

McKnight was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd, a Class B Felony; Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 2nd, a Class C Felony; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

Lewis was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, 2nd, a Class C Felony, and four outstanding arrest warrants out of the City of Binghamton Court.
