Heroin, crack cocaine found in home

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 150 bags of heroin were recovered after a search by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force.

On June 25, authorities arrested Samantha Bates, 26, and Orlando Torres, 30, both of Endicott.

Both had warrants out for arrest for felony criminal mischief in the city of Binghamton.

Authorities executed a search warrant investigating the Bates' home on Hayes Avenue and her vehicle.

Police recovered 157 bags of heroin, 5.1 grams of crack cocaine, and $2,996 in cash and three Suboxone patches.

Bates was charged with selling heroin to another person.

At the time of the search, police said Torres was with Bates and also taken into custody for the arrest warrant.

The two were arraigned in the City of Binghamton Court and taken to the Broome County Jail.

-One count of criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony
-Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies
-One count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor
-Arrest Warrant for felony criminal mischief out of the city of Binghamton

2) Orlando Torres, 30, Endicott
-Arrest warrant for felony criminal mischief out of the city of Binghamton
