Dzhokhar Tsarnaev wakes up

Boston, MA (WBNG Binghamton) CBS News confirms that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is awake at Beth Israel Hospital.

Tsarnaev is the surviving suspect in connection to the Boston Marathon bombings last Monday.

A special interrogation team is at the hospital trying to seek a motive.
According to CBS News, he is responding to investigators through writing.

Until Sunday night, Tsarnaev was in serious condition. CBS News says he still can't talk because on an injury to the neck, which may be self inflicted.

Tsarnaev was captured Friday night when police found him inside a covered boat in the backyard of a Watertown home.

His older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, died early Friday morning in a shoot out with police.

Police say the brothers planted the bombs. They also say they may have been planning for a second attack.
