Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Easter flowers are flying off the shelves at the local Agway in Binghamton.

Lilies, daffodils, marigolds and petunias were nearly sold out Saturday afternoon.

The store manager says it's very nice to see the warm weather and weekend festivities bringing in the community.

"Easter flowers, people always like them," Manager Todd Smith said. "Basically just because it's the first chance you get color. It's been winter for awhile, so there are people who always love buying Easter flowers."

Along with flowers selling fast, people were also purchasing gardening tools to get ready to grow their own flowers, vegetables and herbs.
