Elmira Man Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Philadelphia, PA (WBNG Binghamton) An Elmira man is charged with murder after a deadly hit-and-run crash in Philadelphia.

According to affiliate CBS 3, police say 45-year-old Jerome Brooks of Elmira hit 52-year-old Deanna Teal as she was walking through an intersection, killing her.

Police followed a trail of leaked coolant to find his SUV abandoned with heavy front end damage.

He was found and arrested Thursday.

Brooks is charged with murder, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault and related offenses.
